Dad, Wake up!

His legs smell like Pantouffles, his pores all smell like Tequila, and for some reason he is sleeping on my bed tonight. Must have been a fun birthday party for Renee!

I love doghouses!

I'm just not sure how to use them.

My New Friend

This is my new friend Pantoufle (it's pronounced pon-TOOF), which is French for slippers, which makes sense when you see him.

He moved in down the street with Murray, Renee, and Alexandra. He's only one, but he's huge! I've never seen such a huge dog with so much energy! I've gotten to hang out with him a few times now, and we both run pretty much until we fall asleep.

He's a good neighbor to have!

Petsitting!

We've got lots of friends visiting...6 month old Kiely, and kitties Aglae and Sidonie.

It's tiring having two dogs -- Dad fell asleep on the floor with me and Kiely!

While Kiely and I napped, Sidonie snuck by and checked out the Christmas tree...

It's a blowout!

The skunks have taken a dominating 4 to nothing lead in this game, leading some observers to conclude that the battle may be unwinnable.

However, the most recent loss may have a silver lining. For the first time, Cosmo seemed actually miffed that he had skunk-squirt in his eyes. Could it be that he'll remember that the pain came from that stinky black and white squirrel, and perhaps he should avoid that guy in the future?

Time will tell. Meanwhile, I've been working steadily on the Fort Knoxification of the back yard--I'm pretty sure only half-squid, half-skunk creatures can make it through my fortifications...

Skunks 2, Me 0

I lost my second run-in with a skunk last night...this time, at 3:45 in the morning. Mom & Dad had the bedroom door open because it was so hot, and I took advantage of the open door to sleep al fresco.

Pepe le Peu wandered by at 3:45 in the morning, and I forgot all about what happened last time I tangled with him. I went flying down the stairs so loudly that I woke up Mom and Dad inside. By the time Dad called me back, I had taken a shot straight to the face. Bathtime (for my front half, at least) at 4:00 in the morning.

And the postscript is that the peroxide, baking soda, and de-skunkifier that they used on me seems to have given me diarrhea! So that means we had bathtime again at 7:30 this morning (this time, washing my back half). Two baths in four hours!

Go Bears!

Yum! Dad got these yummy treats for me.

I'm pretty sure this says "Cal," but Dad keeps saying "Go Bears!"

They're so good! I'm not sure what "Cal" means or why these bones are blue and gold. But if it makes Dad happy, I'm all for it. Go Bears!
